I love Little Critter books.  When I was little I was obsessed with everything Little Critter.  Happy Valentine’s Day Little Critter is a fun flip book.  I love the element of anticipation to what will be under the flap.  It for sure keeps them engaged.

12 Books of Christmas Giveaway

Hey Friends!

I am so excited to team up with some teacher friends to share some of our favorite Christmas books!  Welcome to the 12 Books of Christmas GIVEAWAY!

Hop through each blog and collect each number.  Add them up at the end and enter into the rafflecopter.  Super simple and super fun!  Each blog will have a freebie to go along with their favorite Christmas book!

Let me tell you a little about my book and freebie!  This year I am focusing our Christmas unit around the Gingerbread Pirates!  I am so excited to dive into a new unit!  To go along with the Gingerbread Pirates I made a compound word match.  Right now my first graders are working on retell to increase our DIBELS scores.  I made a foldable brochure over sequence of events, contractions, and favorite part of the book.   Click here for the freebie!

Hop on over to Mrs. Winter’s Bliss to collect another freebie and number!

Carpet Markers

Carpet Mark-It
Sit here, no there, hey how did you get over there?!?  Sound familiar?
I love using these Velcro markers to keep my students right where I want them while we are on the carpet.  I made a class set, one for each student.  I can’t wait to share how to make them with my special education teacher; I think they would be a great modification for the kids with special needs.  Check out the picture to make your own for your classroom.   They are simple to make and leave no residue on your carpet!  You can even vacuum over them!   The Velcro I bought came in a huge ream; I have some for sale at about cost.  I only have two shapes since I made them for my room but they may work for you if you don’t want to spend the amount on the yardage.

Happy Teaching!
